about

There has been a sea change in the political landscape with politicians announcing the end of "the age of irresponsibility" Gordon Brown, September 2008. The language is now being used beyond the discourse between parents and children. The limits of acceptable and unacceptable behaviour in the market place are being redrawn.

Again there are two primary meanings:

  • Unreliable, untrustworthy, unlikely to be held to account or mentally or financially unfit to be held accountable
  • Lacking a sense of responsibility, akin to carefreeness the trait of being without worry or responsibility

You can use the forum page to explore whether or not individuals or organisations are being irresponsible - but you need to be responsible about it - read this first
