Tony Bryant is Professor of Informatics at Leeds Metropolitan University. He combines his education, background, and experience in sociology, computing and software development in his teaching and research. Lakshman Dissanayake is currently a Visiting Professor at Leeds Metropolitan University. He is Professor of Demography and the former Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo. He is a receiver of ‘Excellence in Research’ (University of Colombo) and ‘Excellence in Research: Highest Grant Recipient’ (Committee of Vice Chancellors and Directors in Sri Lanka). Edward Halpin is Professor of Peace Education and Director of the Senator George Mitchell Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution at Leeds Metropolitan University. He has a background over many years in politics, human rights, and community development as an academic and activist. Rev. Prof. Simon Robinson, Professor of Applied and Professional Ethics, Leeds Metropolitan University since 2004. Educated at Oxford and Edinburgh Universities, Robinson became a psychiatric social worker before entering the Church of England priesthood in 1978. Nick Stewart is currently Sustainable Tourism Officer for the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority. He is leading work on a three-year project with the cross-cutting themes of sustainable, high quality and locally distinctive tourism development and management. Nick is a student on the MSc Responsible Tourism Management with the International Centre for Responsible Tourism at Leeds Metropolitan University and has a First Class degree in Environmental Science from University of Plymouth. In addition to tourism and conservation in protected areas, Nick's interests include sustainable local economies, responsible food and drink, biocultural diversity/local distinctiveness and environmental ethics. |
